3 Day Faculty Development programme for EEE faculty

The three day FDP went off well as per the planned schedule during 18-06-2014 to 20-06-2014. With the programme on 18th June 2014 being a centrally organized one at A/C Auditorium, the programme scheduled and organized during 19th & 20th June 2014 for EEE faculty were mentioned below for your reference.

Dr. N. Datta Sri, T&P Cell has delivered an expert talk on Communication Skills as a tool for Professionalism in the faculty development programme on 19th June 2014.

Mr. L. Dinesh, Asst. Prof., has delivered a expert talk on Introduction to MATLAB in the faculty development programme on 19th June 2014.

Dr. K.S. Linga Murthy, former Professor & HOD of EE, AUCE (A) and former Professor & HOD of EEE, GITAM University, has delivered a guest talk on Best Practices for Good Teaching in the faculty development programme on 20th June 2014.

A Two-day workshop on “Machines and Controllers (MAC)”

A Two-day workshop on “Machines and Controllers (MAC)” is organized by Dept. of EEE and ISTE Student Chapter of ANITS during 7th & 8th March 2014.

CURIOS-2K13

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering organized several events viz., Electro Mania, Circuitry, Tech Shot, Design & Build along with Paper Presentation as a part of CURIOS – 2K13 a National level Student Technical Fest conducted by ANITS during 21st, 22nd February 2013.

ARC-11

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences (ANITS) has organized a two-day State Level Student Technical Symposium ARC-‘11, for the fifth consecutive year during 23rd and 24th December 2011. Around 300 students from various engineering colleges have participated in the symposium. The inaugural function was started in a colourful ambience. Sri P. K. Awasthi, GM (Power), RINL, Visakhapatnam has inaugurated the symposium by lighting the lamp. Sri V. Sudhakara Rao, ED (Tech.), KEEL-Oripro, Visakhapatnam is the guest of honor and mentioned about the opportunities of Electrical Engineers in core industry and the future growth of core engineering. Along with Paper presentation, several other fun filling technical events like Rover Race, Trouble Shooting, Energy Conversion, Documentary etc., were also organized. Prof. R. Govardhana Rao, Director (Admn.) and Prof. G. Raja Rao, Convener ARC-11 and HOD of EEE have advised the student fraternity in the event. Cash awards and Prizes were distributed by Sri A.V. Ramana, DCME, VPT, Visakhapatnam. Huge responses were received from the participants in the valedictory function.

ARC-10

The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences (ANITS) is organized a two-day national level student technical symposium ARC-‘10, for the fourth consecutive year during 27th and 28th December 2010. Sri B. Ramesh Prasad, Chief General Manager, APEPDCL has inaugurated the symposium by lighting the lamp on 27th December 2010 at 10.30 AM.and Sri B. Srinivasa Reddy, AGM (Electrical), RINL is the guest of honor. Around 200 students from various engineering colleges participated in the symposium. In his inaugural address the chief guest has reiterated the necessity of acquiring practical knowledge in today’s competitive world and mentioned the available opportunities for electrical gradates. The guest of honor in his speech mentioned about the necessity of power quality and the role of the students in competing with the global Engg graduates. Prof. V.S.R.K. Prasad, Principal, Prof. R. Govardhana Rao, Director and Prof. G. Raja Rao, Convener ARC-10 and HOD of EEE and faculty and students graced the occasion.

ARC-09

The third state level student technical symposium ARC’09 was organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences (ANITS), Sangivalasa. Around 80 students from various engineering colleges have participated in this symposium. Prof. S. Rama Mohana Rao, Principal, College of Engineering, Andhra University has inaugurated the symposium on 17th February 2010. Sri. V. Thapovardhan, Secretary and Correspondent (ANITS) have presided over the function. The chief guest in his speech highlighted the areas in which the students have to gain command to excel in their careers. Prof. R.Govardhana Rao, Director, Prof. V. S. R. K. Prasad, Principal (ANITS) and Prof. G. Raja Rao, HOD of EEE Department (ANITS) have also addressed the gathering.

AIM

The two day workshop on " Advances in Machines (AIM)" conducted by Dept .of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at ANITS on 08th and 09th of March 2008. This workshop is proved to be worthy and helped in updating the knowledge base of the teaching fraternity and technocrats from industrial sector. The workshop started on 08th March 2008 at 10 A.M with the prayer song in a pleasant atmosphere. ARC-08

The Department of EEE, ANITS, Sangivalasa, Visakhapatnam has organized 2nd National Level Student Technical Symposium ARC-’08 during 20th & 21st December 2008. Chief Guest Sri. N. Hariharan, General Manager (Projects), RINL, Visakhapatnam and Guest of Honour Prof. K. Parvateesam, Founder Principal, Raghu Institute of Technology inaugurated the symposium. Prof. P. Ramakrishna Rao, Director (R&D) presided over the function. Prof. V.S.R.K. Prasad, Principal and Prof. G. Raja Rao, HOD of EEE & Convener spoke on the occasion. Around 100 UG students from various engineering colleges have participated in the event. During this event, Sri. N. Hariharan has released the souvenir and spoke on the importance of such student technical events and advised to conduct more.

The Department of EEE, ANITS has organized a Two-day National Level Student Technical Symposium ARC-'07 during 21st & 22nd September 2007. Chief Guest Sri. B. Ramesh Prasad, Chief General Manager, O&CS, APEPDCL and Guest of Honour Prof. V. Sitaramam, former HOD of Electrical Engg., AU inaugurated the symposium. Prof. P. Ramakrishna Rao, Director presided over the function. Prof. R. Govardhana Rao, Principal and Prof. G. Raja Rao, HOD of EEE spoke on the occasion. Around 100 UG & PG students of various engineering colleges have participated in the event. During his speech Sri B. Ramesh Prasad has stressed on the importance of such student technical events and advised to conduct more. Prof. V. LAPS

The two day national level workshop on "Latest Advances in Power Systems (LAPS)" conducted by Dept .of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at ANITS on 17th and 18th of February 2007 had gone very well and according to the proposed schedule. This workshop is proved to be worthy and helps in updating the knowledge base of the teaching fraternity and technocrats from industrial sector. The workshop started on 17th February 2007 at 10 A.M with the prayer song in a pleasant atmosphere followed by the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest Sri K.V. Subba Rao, Chief General Manager (RAC & Planning), APEPDCL and the Guest of Honour Dr. K. Shanti Swarup, IIT(M). Sri V. Thapovardhan Secretary & Correspondent, ANITS presided over the function. Sri K.V. Subba Rao emphasized the very need for conservation of energy globally and focused on the Energy demand - Generation - Management - their interdependence with global perspective in a lucid manner.
